Neil Fulton


April or May, 1945 -
Cornelius "Neil" Fulton faked engine trouble and landed his B29 Superfort on Iwo Jima, that "South Pacific Area" mentioned in article. He found Carl on a chow line at the front, came up behind Carl and slaps him on the back of the head. Carl without turning says, "Neil you son of a bitch." with that, Neil turns knowing Carl is okay and leaves.

This appears to be the article which came out in the paper months after he had been reported K.I.A to his wife Kay. Kay was pregnant when he landed on Iwo Jima and the baby is reported to be 2 months old in the article.
